The results are in, and we have survived another election campaign! Anthony Albanese is set to form a majority Labor government. The Greens look to also hold 11 of the 76 seats in the Senate so Labor will need their support in the Upper House and perhaps a one or two Teal’s!
The key polices include these promises:
* Deliver 100,000 homes just for first home buyers
* Expand access to 5% deposits to all first homebuyers
* Deliver smaller mortgages for first homebuyers Lead a national effort to speed up construction
* The Greens might have some influence and look to implement policies on increased rental rights, affordability and changes to how investment properties are taxed.
